Peter Wilbourne appointed to manage APM sales and support for bulk solids market in U.K

Tel Aviv, Israel – March, 8, 2012. – APM announces the appointment of Peter Wilbourne as Sales Manager in the UK. He will be responsible for all local sales and support activities for the company's 3DLevel™Scanner product line. APM's technology uses an innovative multi-point measurement method that provides true measures of the volume and mass of materials stored inside silos, open bins, and warehouses by generating 3D maps of the contents.

Initially trained as an electronics development engineer, Peter has a rich product development and marketing background in instrumentation, particularly in ultrasonic level measurement devices. He previously held positions at: the UK Atomic Energy Research Authority; Monsanto; and Mobrey / Emerson, where he developed a low-cost radar technology in partnership with outside design consultants, and successfully developed the level market worldwide through local sales agents, identifying new opportunities in addition to developing the technology to capitalize on new market requirements. Prior to joining APM Peter was a freelance business development contractor, helping his clients to extend their reach in existing markets and to expand into new ones.

“I believe there is now a marvelous opportunity for APM in the UK," Peter said. "The company can now capitalize on the trend in the market for a reliable retro fit volume measuring solution. I am looking forward to the challenge and new opportunities which are within our capability.”

"Peter's main mission – and challenge – will be to change the bulk solids market from level to true volume measurement," said Mordi Perl, APM VP Sales and Strategic Markets. "All other vendors sell instruments that only estimate the level by measuring a single point on the surface of the stored materials. APM's technical superiority accounts for its rapid acceptance in European, the USA, China, India and other regions.
"APM has long sought to recruit a well-qualified Sales Manager for the UK to its team. We believe Peter, with his technical experience in instrumentation as well as his savvy specific to the bulk solids market, will make APM the leading vendor of true volume measurement devices vendor in the UK within a short time." Perl concluded.
Peter will be the point of contact for all sales and customer support issues in the UK.
