Max Sievert A/S to distribute APM′s non-contact 3D level measurement devices in Norway

Tel Aviv, Israel, and Oslo, Norway– June 21st, 2009 - APM Automation Solutions Ltd. (APM) and Max Sievert A/S announced that they have concluded an agreement under which Max Sievert A/S will distribute APM’s 3D level measurement solutions in the Norwegian market.
The APM 3DLevelScanner™ provides an innovative measurement method that takes the guesswork out of measuring the level, volume and mass of materials inside a silo or open bin by generating 3D maps of the contents. APM products offer an unrivalled degree of process level measurement and inventory control for a wide range of applications across practically all industries including aggregates and mining, chemicals, plastics, food and beverages, pulp and paper, cement, energy, recycling, waste water, and more. Such accurate material measurement dramatically improves operational efficiency and management capabilities.

“Our customer covers all types of industries over the whole country. The APM 3DLevelScanner will definitely strengthen our capability and reputation to solve demanding measuring tasks,” said Max Sievert A/S Director, Mr. Finn Enger.
“We are confident that this new technology will open some new doors for us, and be beneficial for both our companies,” Enger continued.

  The APM 3DLevelScanner –
how it works

The 3DLevelScanner employs a 2-dimensional array beam-former to transmit low frequency pulses and to receive echoes of the pulses from the contents of the silo, bin or other container. The device's Digital Signal Processor samples and analyzes the received signals. From the estimated times of arrival and directions of received echoes, using APM's unique patented technology the processor generates a 3-dimensional image of the surface that can be displayed on a remote screen. This unique device can then accurately determine the volume and mass of material, enabling an unrivalled degree of process measurement and inventory control.
