Innovative APM 3D non-contact level measurement devices to be distributed in Sweden by Wesmar

Ramat Gan, Israel, and Enebyberg, Sweden, October 20, 2006.  –  APM Automation
Solutions Ltd. (APM) and Wesmar AB today announced that they have signed an agreement
under which Wesmar will distribute APM’s innovative 3D level measurement solutions
throughout Sweden. The partnership with Wesmar, one of the country’s leading providers of
level/volume measurement devices, is expected to generate significant sales of APM products
in the instrumentation market in Sweden.
The APM 3DLevelScanner™ provides an innovative measurement method that takes the
guesswork out of measuring the level, volume and mass of materials inside a silo or open bin
by generating 3D maps of the contents. APM products provide an unrivaled degree of process
level measurement and inventory control for a wide range of applications across practically
all industries including to aggregates and mining, chemicals, food and beverages, pulp and
paper, energy, recycling, waste water, and more. Such accurate material measurement
dramatically improves operational efficiency and management capabilities.
The APM 3DLevelScanner – how it works
The 3DLevelScanner employs a 2-dimensional array beam-former to transmit low frequency pulses and to receive echoes of the pulses from the contents of the silo, bin or other container. The device's Digital Signal Processor samples and analyzes the received signals. From the estimated times of arrival and directions of received echoes, using APM's unique patented technology the processor generates a 3-dimensional image of the surface that can be displayed on a remote screen. This unique device can then accurately determine the volume and mass of material.
"We are delighted to have a dedicated German distributor with such a high level of market knowledge", commented Ofir Perl, APM’s CEO. "We looked for a long time for a suitable partner with an in-depth understanding of the German instrumentation market, geographical coverage of all major districts in Germany, and comprehensive business ties with all relevant industry segments. Middendorf brings tremendous experience in selling and supporting level measurement solutions and has earned a great reputation in the German market.”

“Sweden is an important market with many plants involved in manufacturing and storing
various kinds of solids,” said Ofir Perl, APM CEO. “There is great potential for APM's
unique measurement systems in Sweden. Wesmar has a long track-record and has developed
excellent relationships delivering process level measurement solutions for a variety of
applications. Wesmar is the right partner for APM in this region,” Perl concluded.
Wesmar Sales Manager Mr. Leif Hogberg commented: "At Wesmar we continuously aspire
to improve, whether it involves quality, competence, product range or service. Our
commitment to the customer is great, and that is why APM's new technology is such a great
match for us. It not only solves measurement problems that previously could not be
approached, but does so with increased accuracy and reliability, even under harsh conditions,
and at a very favorable price.”
